Go wild at Zoo Lates

Zoo Lates at London Zoo has been at the top of my ‘I must book this year’ list for ages and this year I finally did it.

Aside from raising huge amounts of money for their ongoing conservation projects, it’s also a great night out.

Having read a couple of recent news reports about some idiots trying to swim with the penguins and talk to the tigers, I can assure you that we saw nothing but respect and admiration for the animals. Everyone we saw seemed to be having a genuinely lovely time.

First up – essential face painting

I opted for the half face tiger, which luckily co-ordinates well with my top and drink!

The central area near the main shop was full of amazing food stalls, from mouthwatering hog roast to candy floss. There really was something to suit every taste.

Penguin selfies! Although my selfie sharer does not look as happy about this as I do!

The new tiger territory area is amazing and these two cubs are such cuties.

We had such a great evening hanging out at the zoo and watching all the animals get ready for bed. The otters looked so snuggly bedding down for the evening!

Zoo Lates has finished for this year but, is definitely worth a visit next year.
