Last week I went to the preview event for Street Feast London’s newest food market, Dinerama, in London’s trendy Shoreditch.
Dinerama opened on 12 June at the new Shoreditch Yard on Great Eastern Street, just a hop skip and jump from Liverpool Street Station. The trendy industrial Shoreditch Yard used to be an armoured truck depot and still shows its history but in an edgy way.
There’s over 12 pop up food stops and 5 bars to choose from, so there really is something for everyone.
On the night I indulged in slowly roasted belly pork Chinese buns with gorgeous hoi sin sauce from Yum Bun, the buns were light and fluffy and the pork was absolutely melt in the mouth perfection. I moved onto Breddos Taqueria and their buttermilk fried chicken tacos – if you try only one thing at Dinerama it has to be these. I also indulged in steamed dumplings from Rainbo and then top it off with hot fresh homemade salted caramel doughnuts with the richest chocolate ice cream I have ever had from You Doughnut.

The doughnuts were the sweetest most indulgent dessert i’ve had in a long time. Although, I know I will need a few extra sessions at the gym to work those off – but they were totally worth it.

So that’s the food, but what did I drink. Well……. Tequila grapefruit slushies from the Tequila Container. If you like grapefruit you will love these, i’m a little on the fence with the flavour and found it a little too tart for my taste buds. But, having said that I did then try a grapefruit julep cocktail from the Big Bar and loved it – I think I might have weird tastebuds! The Big Bar in the downstairs area of Dinerama has some really fabulous cocktails on offer, I highly recommend the Southside Fizz which was made with gin (my favourite), cucumber, elderflower and prosecco. They also make classic mojitos which you cannot go wrong with.

If cocktails don’t float your boat then there’s craft lagers, ice cold cans, prosecco and wines all available from the various bar options.
Dinerama is open every Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun until 4th October from noon until midnight. It’s free entrance before 7pm and then £3 after.

It should definitely be on your summer to-do list.
