I love travelling! I think there’s nothing better than landing in an exotic location and creating memories. But, what I don’t like so much is the actual journey – the faffing at the airport, the waiting around and then the inevitable panic to run to the gate when I’ve ‘faffed’ that bit too long.
So what if I told you that there’s a way to make the airport experience that little bit better with some fabulous treatments from luxury brands including Jo Malone London and La Mer? You’d think I’m either lying or wondering how much cash you’d have to part with?
But, what if I told you these treatments are completely free and available to anyone? You’re probably now thinking I’m telling the biggest porkers since Trump became president.
Last week I went to a fabulous event with Estée Lauder Travel Retail at their gorgeous London offices to hear all about their products and services they have available within World Duty Free at airports around the world.
What struck me was the number of brands all offering a range of exclusive in airport treatments completely free. These brands are all luxury and have some incredible products on the market, think M.A.C Cosmetics, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Estée Lauder, La Mer and Jo Malone London.
Head to Jo Malone London for a relaxing hand and arm massage which will leave you feeling so relaxed the flight will simply ‘fly’ by. The knowledgeable consultants will introduce you to all of the different scents and also how to layer them to create your own bespoke scent. I’ve completely fallen in love with the new Myrrh & Tonka scent, it’s so intense and beautiful and I could still smell it on my skin the next day after a shower! This is definitely going on my birthday list!
Are you like me and always get off the plane feeling like your skin is so dehydrated you’ve been sat in the Sahara desert without water for a week? Well then, the La Mer ‘arrive hydrated’ treatment is the one for you. The mini facial will leave your skin feeling and smelling amazing.
But what if you’re heading off on a short haul flight and plan to jump off the other end a go straight out? Then visit with M.A.C Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox or the Estée Lauder counters where they will a full make over or just casual touch up leaving you runway ready. I think it would be absolutely perfect if you were catching an early flight somewhere for a business meeting.
Aside from the treatments there are also lots of exclusive products and sets available at airport counters which you can’t buy on the high street. M.A.C Cosmetics have their ‘look in a box’ which is a complete set including lip colour, blush, eye colour, mascara and an eye liner. Such good value and everything you could need on holiday.
Which treatments are you planning on during your next airport visit? You’ll find me in Jo Malone London……..
