Nail colours to see you from day to night this party season

I love this time of year, not only is it totally acceptable to wear earmuffs, cosy slippers and in my case a nanna blanket as a cape (only when I’m working from home) but it’s also the time of year for sparkles, the more the better.

Now, I know it’s not totally accepted to rock in the office in a slinky, sparkly body-con but there are other ways to bring a little sparkle into your day. I’m talking about jazzy, snazzy nail polishes.

This post spawned from my magpie tendencies whilst in & Other Stories recently and a nail colour I was kindly sent through the post.

& Other Stories have all of their nail polishes quite close to the check out, so I couldn’t help myself and they are only £5 each which makes them even harder to resist.

I picked up a super chunky glitter polish in the colour Fire Flowers Gleam which has rose gold particles and looks great when used as a statement nail. The other colour I picked up is Crystal Beam which is a silver/gold solid colour. Two coats give the perfect payoff in terms of colour. Combined both make a really gorgeous statement nail colour to take you from the office to drinks in one fail swoop.

Nail polish flatlay

The third polish I wanted to mention is from CND Vinylux in colour hypnotic dreams which changes colour in different lights and with movement. In flat light it’s a greenish gold but then if you move it becomes iridescent purple. Although it colour changes it actually goes with most outfits, so again ideal for those work to party situations and it’s only £6.99.

But, what I really love is the promised seven day wear and it really does live up to being a weekly polish.

I’ve put it through its paces whilst at the stables with my horses and miraculously it didn’t chip. Combined with the weekly topcoat and it’s nigh on impossible to chip.

I will be rocking all through throughout November and December especially at times when I can’t wear a sparkly ballgown to the office!
