In my eyes Charlotte Tilbury can do no wrong, from the gorgeous rose gold packaging to the product formulas, I just can’t find fault. So when she announced the launch of a number of new lip shades, I knew I had to get my mitts on one.
The Duchess is part of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range and is currently exclusively available online so I took a punt on the shade after not being able to swatch it instore. I’m so pleased I did, The Duchess is the most gorgeous pinky nude possibly the best pink shade I now own. Bold statement, I know!
On application it literally glides across my lips to leave a subtle pink shade but it is also buildable to give a stronger high colour look. The formula is so silky and moisturising, I’ve found some lipsticks to be quite drying, but not this one. The Duchess is super moisturising and hydrating as well as being longwearing. I love a lipstick which has a bit of staying power, especially when I’m at work and drinking enough tea for twenty people and in and out of meetings all the time, meaning there’s not always the time to reapply.
I think The Duchess is the perfect day to night shade which is especially great for after work drinks and carrying a minimal make up bag to work (I don’t need to add any more weight to my handbag!) Plus, I really do think £24 is super reasonable for a high-end lipstick which is housed in the most gorgeous packaging. Part of me loves whipping out the rose-gold bullet because it’s so instantly recognisable, it also makes me feel super fancy – never a bad thing!
What’s your thoughts on The Duchess? Is a colour you’d buy?
