As I’ve got older I’ve found myself needing to train more and more as a way of clearing my mind and rebalancing, even more so if it’s been a particularly stressful or busy day.
I’ve tried mindfulness apps but always find my mind wandering and thinking about all the other things I need to be doing. But, when I work out it’s one of the only times I try switch off and give my mind a rest. Well when I say switch off, I mean concentrate on not dropping the weights on my own feet or trying to stay in time during boogie bounce.
But sometimes getting to the gym after work can prove a little tricky, due to extra workload or unhelpful commuter trains. This is where I’ve found the ESquared app to be a godsend. Basically it allows me to log on and find premium two-hour gym sessions and one-off classes in real time in London book and away I go. Easy right?
There’s no monthly fee and you’re not tied into any type of contract, all you need to do is add credit to your account and use it as an when you want to.
I’ve found a great boutique gym on my way to my station which is perfect for me as I can dart in there before jumping on the train. Speedflex City has the latest equipment but they are slightly different because they respond to your force rather than adding additional weights. And, the 2 hours session is only £13, which I think is an absolute bargain.
I also really love the ESquared features gyms with swimming pools, I adore swimming but often find it hard to get to a pool at any other time than a weekend. But, we all know pools at the weekends are normally filled with kids having oodles of fun and massive floats – not so good for just swimming lengths!
If you’re interested in trying it out I have a discount code for you. All you need to do is set up and account and use DELPHINE15 for £15 off your first booking.
