Anyone else have the Pharrell song Happy on loop in their head when Benefit launched their new Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation? Nope? Just me then. Anyway if you needed an earworm here it is
As you probably know I’m a complete sucker for packaging so for me Hello Happy ticks all the boxes. I mean it’s got a smiley face on the bottle! Like all Benefit product launches I’ve seen loads online about Hello Happy, so I had to give it a go so whilst having my brows sorted in the Carnaby Street store I picked up the sample size for £8.50!?! Which, in my mind was a little spenny but better than forking out for the full size product in case it wasn’t right for my skin.
So some things to know about Hello Happy, it’s a super light formula which gives a sheer-medium coverage. For me this is perfect for the summer because I’m usually sporting a bit of a tan. It blends into the skin really easily and evens out skin tone. I apply it with a combination of my fingers and foundation brush to give the best result (for me).
During the summer I don’t tend to wear a lot of make-up, especially this summer because it’s been so hot and any chance of make up actually staying in place, is, well limited. But, I’ve found Hello Happy really comfortable to wear, it’s lightweight and breathable. Plus it’s SPF 15 which I know probably isn’t enough during this fabulous hot weather we’re having but, it’s a start!
If you need something with full coverage, this isn’t the right product for you. But, if you just want something to even out your skintone and give a sheer coverage this might be ideal for you.
Unlike the L’Oreal Nudista this gets a big old thumbs up from me!
