There are so many hotels in London to choose from, so much so that it can be a bit of a minefield when trying to find the perfect one.
I live out in Essex which, although not that far on the train, can always be a faff to get home to if it’s a late evening. (my last train is 10.13pm!!) So I’m always looking for a decent London Hotel which doesn’t cost the earth.
I recently stayed at the new Z Covent Garden and was completely blown away. Not only is it incredibly well priced but also the location! It’s right behind the actor’s church on the famous Covent Garden Piazza – it couldn’t be any closer to the action if it tried.

Now, if you’re looking for massive suite style rooms with lounge areas then this isn’t for you. The rooms are comfortable and compact, I had a queen room overlooking Bedford Street and there was heaps of room but there are some inside single rooms which just have super comfortable beds and wet rooms – these smaller rooms are an ideal crashpad if you’re looking for somewhere to stay after a work event.

The beds, well what can I say? Possibly one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve slept in in a long time! I found out that the mattresses are handmade in Devon. This is one of the things I noticed with Z Hotels, although the rooms might be a little smaller there has been absolutely no corner cutting when it comes to design and quality of furnishings.

One of the biggest bonuses with stay at a Z Hotel is the free cheese and wine! Yes, you read that right, free cheese and wine every evening from 5pm until 8pm! Who doesn’t love cheese and wine?
I’ve had a look on the website and you can book rooms from £50 a night, this is just a room only rate but for an extra £9.50 you get a really lovely breakfast.

If you’re looking for a hotel in the heart of theatreland this is the perfect place for you!
